This page is a montage of all the camps I have been on throughout my Guiding career...
In 1997 I attended a trip to Switzerland with Welford Guides, I was the only Guide from my town to be invited. It was wonderful but at the time I didn't not really think that I would ever have a chance to go back. Also that Summer I attended an International camp called "Bounce 1997", hosted by Northamptonshire Guides.
In 1999, I was selected to go to America with Northamptonshire Guides to a camp called "Celebration 1999". The camp was held in New Jersey. It was fantastic. I met many people when I was there and they will always be in my heart.
2000, wow what a summer, I was selected to go to "Explore 2000" in Canada. I am still friends with some of the girls I met there.
Nailer 2001 was the camp I attended with my Guide unit. Nailer is the Northamptonshire Scouts international camp. It was good to see the Scouts doing a fab camp!
Bounce 2002 - Bounce happened again!
WINGS 2003 - This camp happened in Windsor Great Park, you know where the Queen sometimes stays at! It was the first time we all attended this camp, I have never swapped so many SWAPS in my life!
In 2004, we all travelled south to Essex for the Essex Scout and Guide Jamboree. This was also the first time we attended this camp, I thought that I would be back here again soon.
EuroJam 2005 - I was a member of the International Service Team (IST) and I taught kids how to Kayak and Canoe. It was strange to be on the other side for a change, I think that I prefer to be a "Participant" leader rather than a "IST" leader.
In 2006, we were all back at Nailer to support our local Scouts! It was good to be on home turf!
Switzerland was our destination for 2007, but this time we went with Hackleton and Roade Guides! This time I took LOADS of photos, I hope to move there one day!
Essex Jambo 2008 - it was a fantastic camp! I met up with some pals that I had made at EuroJam. I was first aider again, no major accidents - just inflamed tonsils - YUK!!
